Something sexy that will make you feel better this Fall!

When the weather is changing from Summer to Fall and the cold north wind starts blowing, telling you that Winter is only around the corner, this is what beats back the cold and brings back the warmth…

Hot Toddy

Some or most of you may know what this is, but for those who don’t (including myself up until a day ago), this is the miracle drink for those suffering from the common cold or flu. Lately, a plague of epic proportions has taken Vancouver by storm, and almost everyone I know is fighting it. For those not able to win, the cubicles around me have been emptying slowly as people end up staying home. Eek, don’t let the next person be me!

If you’re fighting this same cold, make sure to bulk up on your Vitamin C and to make yourself a hot toddy!

For those with spouse’s/partner’s/etc. that have been taken down by this cold, and are keeping you up with their hacking and coughing, nose blowing and loud snoring (my hand is raised)…please go home tonight and make your loved one a nice big cup of Hot Toddy…and buy a pair of ear plugs. 😉

Many people have different ways of making it, but when you get down to it, it’s pretty much this:

Bourbon, Whiskey or Rum

Lemon

Honey

Hot water

You may add cinnamon or nutmeg if you’d like and is seen more often around the holidays.

This drink is how you get the good night’s sleep you have been looking for. It will knock you right out (depending on size and stamina it could take you 2-3 hot toddy’s 😉 ), plus soothing your sore throat and kicking that cough.

Hopefully this will give all of you who are fighting the good fight an even better chance of licking this thing!

Special thanks to my English friend who introduced me to the Hot Toddy and helped me cure my better half, and allow myself to get a full night’s sleep.

Drink up!
